When working with a collection that has a special meaning to me, as my Georgia collection does, it made deciding on the projects that feature the collection a little special too. In my previous post, I wrote about my ‘Remember ‘Whooo’ Loves You’ quilt, & so I wanted to introduce the remaining quilts (& a stitchery) in this post.

From the first Quilt Market I attended & I was able to see all of the quilt fabrics displayed and as I learned more and more about fabric collections - I began to dream of putting prints and coordinates together to create a collection of my own. This morning right as I got out of bed, I found that I needed to find my long (flannel) jammie pants... as it was very chilly! That, to me, is a sign that autumn is finally arriving! (...& I do a little happy dance!) Here in the southwest of the United States, autumn can often go undetected.
... & this girl loves autumn.
Actually a little over a week ago, I took Dad up to the little acornshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10610357013167267501noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1792816227766876904.post-71025820216633878052019-10-21T16:33:00.000-07:002019-10-21T16:33:05.719-07:00:: Comings & Goings

Hi there...!
Well, I was on a roll with posting all about the new collection, Finnegan... but then 'life' happened.
In the past six weeks, I've had to call 911 two different times... two weeks apart for my Dad, & there have been hospital stays along with those. He had a couple of small strokes, & with the last one some additional complications, but Dad is doing better, & life little acornshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10610357013167267501noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1792816227766876904.post-14404017430846805302019-03-17T13:59:00.002-07:002019-03-17T13:59:42.299-07:00Finnegan - pebble & sky ::
I'm back with the final two colorways for Finnegan!
First is the 'pebble' colorway. This colorway is becoming a semi-regular in my collections - as I love the grounding it brings. I also love the grey-taupe-linen hue it has. For me it's not too light, not too dark,... it's just right. I first used this colorway with Ambleside my first collection for Moda, & I remember a shop little acornshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10610357013167267501noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1792816227766876904.post-68391243409783889332019-03-15T06:00:00.000-07:002019-03-15T06:00:12.053-07:00Finnegan - lilac & sunny ::
Next for the Finnegan colorways, we have lilac & sunny (yellow). I'm so pleased with both these colorways & they have a special place in my heart.
Both of these colors (along with a light green) were some of my Mom's favorite colors. When I first started quilting, I wanted to make a quilt for my Mom. When I asked her what colors she liked, she responded, "All of them"little acornshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10610357013167267501noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1792816227766876904.post-14669054083126892902019-03-14T13:48:00.000-07:002019-03-14T13:48:54.593-07:00Finnegan - blossom & sprout ::
The next two Finnegan color ways I wanted to give you closer peeks of are
Blossom (pink) & Sprout (lt. green). Looking at these makes it feel like you've walked into a spring garden!
I love being surrounded by a soft green... this is such a calming color for me... (I think that's why it's pretty much in every collection I design!) For Finnegan - I'm calling the light greenlittle acornshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10610357013167267501noreply@blogger.com1
