Hope you have a great week!. . . Me?. . . I'll be in my studio. . . because I ♡ quilting!

Quilting gives me a creative outlet that I don't get with my day job.
ReplyDeleteI love putting the colors together and watching the design take place. Being able to be creative after a life time of working is such a treat.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about quilting? Let me count the ways.....I love the fabrics, the color, the patterns, the texture, then I like to imagine how I can best accentuate them in a pattern. I love the creative process and the thrill of the completed quilt.
ReplyDeleteThe creation of something beautiful is such a feeling of accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteHi Bren, Love Annie and her podcasts! But if I were to single out one thing that I like about quilting, I would be a liar. That is because I like it all. No lie here, yes, I like everything!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric. Love it, Love it, Love it.
ReplyDeleteJust to take fabric sew it together and see what comes of it. Sheer pleasure.
It's relaxing. There aren't many things in life that give you such satisfaction and yet offer such relaxation! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm new to quilting and in love with so many aspects. It gives me something to look forward to when I'm at work - something that I can go home and do for myself. Quilting provides me with an insane amount of self-gratification and a sense of accomplishment. The quilting community is also SO strong - everyone involved truly loves the craft and can really appreciate each other's work - even if it's perhaps not "your style."
ReplyDeleteI love fabric and color and putting it all together. I also think of my Grandmother when I quilt and I know she would love that I am doing this!
ReplyDeleteI love the whole process. Selecting fabric, seeing it sewn together, quilting, and washing it up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful prize!
ReplyDeleteI got into quilting because of the warmth factor. I like snuggling up under quilts.
Now, my passion is more for the fabric. I love to see what is coming out next.
Thank you!
Sarah
I love quilting...because I love quilts! I wanted quilts so badly, and no one in my family quilted, so i guess I had to be the one to do it!
ReplyDeleteWhat do I love about quilting? I love the piecing part...cutting up those gorgeous fabrics and putting them back together again in a new pattern. I am a newbie, but loving every minute of it. Pick meeee!!!
ReplyDeleteI love quilting because it makes me happy! I love putting all the different fabrics together and the smiles on the faces of who ever I give a quilt too!! Nothing is better than the feeling I get when i give a quilt away!
ReplyDeleteI like the sound that of needle and thread going through fabric, and the rhythm of handsewing--together, like a lullaby; one of the most relaxing sounds I know.
ReplyDeleteAh!!! The class I have been waiting for! My youngest just started school, but I don't have a car so this would be perfect for me! Thanks for the giveaway! (: ~Page izazbz at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteI love quilting because it is a way for me to be creative and have something useful when I am finished!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea for beginers and beyond! Just a positive comment. Please do not include me in the drawing.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of quilting is cutting out the pieces.

i love the feel of fabric, seeing the designs come together. And the math. Next on my list is a quilt using either fibbonacci numbers or the golden ratio. And on that note, I love that the word verification is mathinit. It makes this old math major smile
ReplyDeleteI am a quilter 'wannabe". I have dabbled very little in quilting and would love to learn the proper way to quilt. I live in WV and quilting is a part of our Appalachian culture. It would be a blessing to win this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love to feel the fabric in the quilt store, I love to walk around the store with bolts in my arms - imagining what all the colors will look like when they are blended together. I love it when I turn over what I've just sewn and the seams match! I love the process of sewing together rows and then looking at the "big picture". Really, I like the whole process of quilting - except for the cutting!!!! This would be a wonderful class - I consider myself an advanced beginner - I've learned through blogs and mostly by trial and error. I've also learned from some terrific patterns! Thank you for the chance to win this great class!!
ReplyDeleteOh my word! I would love to win this! Thanks for the generous giveaway!
