Todays subject . . . well it made me smile, because it's some hints I could use! The subject is - cocktail party conversation starters that allow you to avoid standing in the corner alone. . . Ha-ha! I'm not the best to answer that question. . . as 1) I've never been to a cocktail party in my life. . . &, 2) if I did. . . I would most likely be the one standing in the corner! (lol!) But. . . I'll give it a try & if it were a holiday party - then I would ask someone what their favorite toy was as a child, & why. I think that might give some insight to the person & the child we all have within.
. . . So, what would you use as a conversation starter? (I could use some ideas!. . . just in case!)
For todays recipe. . . I'm sticking with some classics. For those that know me - or have followed my blog for a bit - know that I am a girl that loves her oatmeal. . . & her chocolate! So this cookie hits all the bases for me!. . . it's Oatmeal Chocolate Chippers. . .

Day 2 -
Oatmeal Choco Chippers...Mmmm!
Thank you for the recipe.
I'd use the plate of cookies as a starter...I'd ask if they like cookies!
Meet you in the corner1
Your cookie picture looks so inviting, I'd like to dive in head first!
Bren, thanks for another winning cookie recipe. I shudder at what you would think of me if we were at a party and you asked about my favorite childhood toy - I fondly remember a grungy, green-haired doll who barely wore a stitch of clothing because even back then I was curious as to how clothing was made. (I still take apart items of clothing to figure out how to make my own rendition.) Hehehe - I'm laughing as I look ahead at my word verification - it's "weight" - great one to go along with all these cookie recipes! Just reading them adds the "weight."
I like to ask people to tell me about their favorite Christmas. Everyone has a story, we just have to draw it out. :)
I like your favorite toy idea...will have to try that as well. Oatmeal & Chocolate - I'm with you!
I love chocolate chip oatmeal cookies too.
The only thing that can make an oatmeal cookie even better is an oatmeal cookie with chocolate chips! Thank you for sharing.
These Oatmeal Chocolate Chippers are my (grown)kids' favorite. Grandma made them all the time. I do make them too, cuz they are so good! Thanks for sharing! Now, I better go for a long walk or some serious exercising to work off all these cookies! HUGS... and stitches

These cookies are a big hit in our house! Hmmm...it's hard to say but I think I would ask where they are from just to get them talking about themselves!
It's best to avoid cocktail parties..one cocktail and I'm talking to everyone! lol Perhaps the Oatmeal cookies could be a buffer? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the recipe. I think this will have to be an all the time cookie, not just Christmas.
Chocolate + oatmeal= YUM! Thanks for sharing your recipe!!
These cookies are always a crowd pleaser. Thanks for sharing.
We sound a lot alike. Chocolate and oatmeal, never been to a cocktail party and read the same authors. Thanks for the recipe.

Those cookies sell themselves in the photo ... they look delicious! Thank you so much for sharing the recipe :)
I love oatmeal cookies although I prefer raisins. My husband prefers chocolate chips. There is normally pushing around the batter bowl to see who can get their ingredient in the bowl first. :)
You are so right! Oatmeal and Chocolate, they are the best. Thanks.

I like chocolate chips in my oatmeal cookies better than raisins. Of course, the raisins are healthier (but this is the holiday season-so I say Go With Chocolate)
